was in a grunge band and I played bass

in a grunge band for a number of years.

And we would get these wristbands when

we would go and play the bar in our

college town, which gave us dollar drinks.

They didn't care.

You had to arrange your own

opening acts and everything.

And so we had bands down in the

Detroit area that we had played a

friends with that we would invite up.

But at a certain point we're

like, well, we need three bands

and we only have two for tonight.

So we just made our own band and used

it as an excuse to give a bunch of

our friends dollar drink wrist bands.

And that's how that band started.

And then it, it's has survived

significantly longer than the grunge band

drum that looks like an hourglass.

hand drum, there's a handful of neat like
